Tug tug tug at your heart strings.

This afternoon I had the pleasure of attending the CMJ FilmFest to see Thumbsucker, a film by Mike Mills. It comes out this Friday in New York and I highly recommend that you see it. I'm not going to tell you anything about it. Just watch the trailer if you haven't seen it and trust me that it's worth your $10.50 (though I got to see it for free, plus attend a Q & A with Mike Mills afterwards). The website has a lot of neat stuff to look at too, like a photo book that Mike Mills did with Ryan McGinley and Mark Borthwick and a bunch of other photographers.

Finally saw this movie. I really enjoyed it too. Keanu Reeves was surprising, and I thought the other performances were solid all around.
